I can't believe summer is more than half way over. We have had fun. We went to Austin with the Edwards, went to Tyler, had VBS, Jake learned to swim, Luke went to football camp, and Luke lost his first tooth,and the boys did a fun run. We have been busy. I am bummed we are on the downside of the summer. I can't believe I have a first grader.

Easter Weekend 2009

We had a busy Easter weekend. It was beautiful on Good Friday. We went to church. Very interesting having a new 3 year old in a service that lasted 1 1/2 hours, but he did well and it was a good service. Saturday we had Luke's first coach pitch baseball game. We won 27-1. Scott then worked in the yard for 8 hours. Sunday we went to church. Our friends the Tullos' came over for lunch and then my family came for dinner. I cannot believe there is only 5 1/2 weeks until Luke will be a 1st grader. On the other hand it is only 5 1/2 weeks until we go on our trip with the Edwards!! Yea!! So excited. Hope you guys had an awesome Easter.

I cannot believe my little man is 3. We had a fun party. We had a hot wheels hunt. It was supposed to be at the park, but because of the weather we had it at home. It was a lot of fun. Jake is a funny little man. He makes us laugh all the time. I think he is pretty smart too. He is very hand eye coordinated. He can work a puzzle in no time. He loves his big brother and thinks he can do everything Luke can do, and he can almost anyway!! He is such a precious little boy and I cannot believe he is 3.

Also throwing in some of Luke's basketball pics. He had fun playing. Scott coached and they only lost 2 games. They actually were really good. It is my favorite sport for him to play so far. We have now started baseball, which to me is not nearly as exciting, but he loves it. I get a work out trying to keep Jake off the field.

No pictures this time, not that it matters, is anyone still checking this? So we have decided to shut down La-Di-Da. It was fun. It was great. But we are not going to continue. We do still have some things if anyone wants to take a look. So what next well...Scott's dad has bought a flooring business. So I am selling flooring and cabinets on the side. Not real busy, but when friends, for friends of friends need some floors I am the girl. Funny stuff!! So let me know if you need anything.

Promise to post Jake's bday next week. I cannot believe he will be 3 tomorrow.

So I know I am shocking a lot of people, if they are still reading. It has been a whirlwind of a few months. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I am only going to update with a couple of pics, because Blogger takes entirely too long. Luke was baptized the Sunday before christmas, so excited about that!! The boys were so much fun this Christmas. Jake was so excited and wore Santa's hat and made everyone sit on his lap and tell Santa what they wanted. Oh yeah and the week before Christmas Prosper football won state. Go Eagles!!

Hey Courtney, I know I have not blogged. I have so many things to blog about...Luke's bday, pumpkin patches, Tech VS A&M. Blogger is so slow I have not patience. So I will blog in response to your tag. Courtney, one of my great friends, although she left us for Lubbock, tagged me to put the 6th picture in my 6th folder of pictures so here it is....This is Luke on his 2nd Christmas. He was 14 months. I am looking at how new my kitchen floor looked. We had only lived in our house for 3 months. Man, I guess I need to call Dalworth for a good tile and grout cleaning.

Hopefully I can set aside a little time to blog about my preious Luke turning 6 and my sweet Jake going to his first pumpkin patch. Stay tuned. Miss you Courtne!!

We are playing football

If you know anything about my family, the boys love sports. I am pretty sure it is because their daddy is a sports maniac. So Luke is finally playing football. Everyone is so excited. He absolutely loves it!!! Scott loves it. He even missed his yearly hunting trip with his college buddies so he could be at football. Anyways Luke's official first game was this weekend. It was raining, but as I am told you don't cancel football for rain. Luke loved every bit of it. And I have to say he was pretty cute, but don't tell him I said that.

Prosper Homecoming

I absolutely love Prosper. I am sure many of you have heard me say that before. This week was homecoming in Prosper. Because we are still a 1 high school town, the whole town celebrates. I think I get into this so much because we had multiple schools in Garland, so we did not have anything like this. Anyways, Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was jersey day, Wednesday was dress head to toe in one color, Thursday was wacky day, Friday was Go Green/spirit day. We also had early release for the parade on Friday. We have been to the parade all 5 years that we have lived here, but this year Luke was in the parade. He had so much fun. We then went to the Pep Rally, and the game later that night. Of course we had dinner at the Cotton Gin and saw tons of people we knew. I never thought I would love being a small town girl!! I know it is growing, but when we moved here there were only 2500 people. Love it!!!

Jake's first trip to a Tech game

Last weekend, we took the boys to the Tech game. We try to take them to at least 1 a year. This is the first year Jake made the trip. He did really good. They had so much fun. Some of our good friends, the Edwards, just moved back to Lubbock, so we stayed with them, minus Courtney, who was seeing her sister before she left for 6 months. I missed you Courtney. Anyways, the boys were super excited to see the girls, they are the same age and always have fun together. Luke was so funny, we arrived at Raider Ally before the game and Luke asked "where is Kevin?" "Who, I asked?" "Kevin, the guy that rides the horse!!" He remembered the guys name from last year like he was his best friend. Pretty funny. On our way home he asked if we could stop for a pizza sandwich. For our Tech friends, that would be a calzone from One Guys. He has had one every year since he was 2, but I guess he now realizes how good a One Guy Calzone really is. Don't you love their Crabtree hats? Go Tech!!

First Day of Kindergarten

I cannot believe Luke has gone to kindergarten. How crazy is that. He is so excited. He has a wonderful teacher. She is so sweet. I had prayed for a great teacher, and God answered my prayer. This has been a big step. Yesterday I cried so much. I prayed that Luke would not me be sad and today I did not shed a tear. We had a big weekend leading up to the big day. We had Luke's best friend Reece's birthday and then last night our street had an ice cream party to celebrate school starting. How many kids can get on one trampoline, really. We have a great neighborhood. I hope everyone has a great first week.

Two questions...

1. How do you get a 2 year old to look at the camera? Courtney this one if for you, Korley always takes great pictures.

2. What do you do with a strong willed 2 year old? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So we had a very busy weekend and this week looks even wilder. We started off Thursday night by going to kindergarten orientation. No, I did not cry, but was trying really hard. Luke saw so many friends and was running circles. He bought spirit wear and has been very proud to wear his Eagle shirts. Friday, Scott's parents came to town, so we went to dinner with them. Saturday we went to Rainforest Cafe for Adi's birthday. Sunday we went to church with the G's because Adi was baptized. Talk about amazing, her dad was able to baptize her. It was the sweetest thing ever. We went to lunch and swimming, to follow up the night with an outing to the Roughriders game. Scott and I had just been saying we had not gone and some friends of ours invited us to go. I had plans for the night, but went to the game and girls picked me up at the game. Luke was asked to go on the field to play a game. He had to race to get his shoes, put them on, tie them, and run back. To bad we are horrible parents and have not taught him to tie his shoes. They were actually supposed to be 6, but they let Luke play since he is almost 6. Well when I left our strong will Jake wanted to drink Dr. Pepper. Scott tried to grab the cup and there went the DP, all over Scott. We had fun though. We are going to have fun all week with my last week of 2 kids at home. If you hear someone crying next Monday, it will probably be me.

Mission Trip San Diego

Scott and I just returned home from our mission trip. We had an amazing time. We worked our tails off, but any breaks we had we found new things to see in San Diego. I don't know if any of you have ever been to San Diego, but it is beautiful!! We will definitely be going on vacation there some time. So back to the trip. We went with our church Prestonwood North to help a church plant. This church plant is a little different in that there is not a local nearby church supporting them. The churches supporting them are from around the country. San Diego is not majority christian. In fact if 1% of San Diego county showed up for church on Sunday there would not be enough seats. I definitely realized I live in a bubble. So here is how our trip went.

Arrival on Thursday: Lunch, check in hotel, stuff envelopes, knocked on 200 doors. Now when I mean knock on 200 doors, I mean climb hills. There are so many hills there.

Friday: Morning time we knocked on 400 doors, lunch, run by the beach, evening we knocked on 600 more doors and mad 250 phone calls This time there were doors slammed in faces, someone threatened to sick their big dog on a girl, and a dog came through a screen door at someone else.

Saturday: Kids camp all day. We had a muslim little girl ask Jesus to come into her heart. Pretty amazing!!! Saturday night was our free night, we were suprised and taken to the Cowboys game, left early to see a little of San Diego

Sunday: Church, lunch, church outreach swim party. A lady who had never been to church and whose mom is Jehovah's Witness asked me many questions. I asked her if she had ever accepted Christ, she said she thinks, but she wanted to pray anyways. She has many questions and I am keeping in contact with her. When she left, she introduced the children's pastor to her girls as their new church teacher. Again, she had never been to church.

Monday: Pack up and head home.

Our main job was to do anything and everything this church needed. They have no building yet, so everything is done out of their home. They right now host a ton of community events so that getting people to come will be easier and then the next step is church. They tried at first just inviting people to church, that did not work, so they are doing it this way. The neighborhoods we canvassed were mainly asian and indian. It was amazing to see these people saying they were interested in coming to church. You can check out the church website and crosschurchsandiego.com.

My brother and his family were in town last week. They have Annalise, who is 1. She is just a year younger than Jake. It is funny to see them together. She is on the smaller side of the scale and Jake is on the larger side of the scale, so to see them together is really funny. The boys had so much fun with her. They abslolutely adore her. And of course, I had to play dress up. Aren't her La-Di-Da overalls so cute!!!! I even stuff a alligator clip bow in her hair and she has no hair.

In other news, can you tell what my boys are playing? I can't believe you can't guess that they are beekeepers!! If you can't tell Luke is sporting a power rangers suit, work googles, a Roughrider helmet, Texas Tech house shoes and a batting glove. Jake is wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey, power rangers mask, nemo houseshoes, and Harley Davidson gloves. How you get beekeeper out of that is beyond me, but that is the fun of being a kid. Gotta go, Luke is telling Jake he can't see the bees without the mask on. By the way, there are really no bees. Terminix came last week.

Our trip to the Pattersons

This week I took the boys to visit our sweet friends the Patterson's in Houston. They used to live in our neighborhood and are great friends. They have 4 kids. We had so much fun!! We swam, the kids boxed, they roasted marshmellows, they played, the mommies snuck away for lunch, and Jake had everything lightning mcqueen imaginable. He ate all meals on a Cars table. He ate with a cars plate. He slept on a Cars pillow. He was in heaven!! Luke had so much fun. It is funny how kids can be away and pick right back up as friends. Sweet little baby sported a la-di-da original and we had to eat that up. We had such a fun week!!

Our quick trip to Galveston

Last Monday we decided to leave on Tuesday to take the boys to Galveston. We had been trying to decide where to take Luke for a little trip before Kindergarten. We had decided San Antonio, but did not think Jake would do well at Sea World all day without a nap. So we thought we would leave Jake with my mom. Then we decided on Galveston. Luke had been wanting to go to the beach. The last beach trip we took was when I was pregnant with Jake and we had to evacuate less than 24 hours after arriving due to a hurricane. Did I mention that beach was Rosemary Beach by Destin, and we flew, and we had to drive home because our flights were cancelled. Well Rosemary beach is much prettier than Galveston. Galveston is pretty dirty, but our boys thought they were in Hawaii. They did not seem to mind the cigarette butts everywhere, they had a blast. It worked out well. We played at the beach, swam, and went to Schlitterbahn. Jake really studied all the pamplets on Schlitterbahn. It was really funny, he kept finding them a reading them. We drove home straight from schlitterbahn and decided to play putt putt. It was about 8 oclock. Luke had wanted to play in Galveston, but it was too crowded. We had so much fun. A perfect trip for 2 little boys!!

Cedar Creek Lake

Last weekend we went to our old neighbors lake house on Cedar Creek lake. It was awesome. We had such an amazing time. The boys had so much fun. They tubed, jet skied, swam in the pool and lake, made smores, and just relaxed. No kidding on Saturday they were in the water from 9-almost 7. They had such a great time.

Most days in summer we swim. Most days in summer we swim more than once. It is a good thing my boys have always loved to swim. If not, we would have a pretty boring and frustrating swimmer. I have decided I am a much better outside mom than inside mom. I love to play outdoors. Jake is fearless of the water. He wants Scott to throw him as high as he can. He loves it. He will jump off waterfalls or anything else. We must keep the floaties on. I am much more nervous with him than Luke. Luke loves to swim, this summer he has become a fish. He is really a great swimmer. He has never been scared of the water and has always jumped from things, but I never feared him taking his floats off. I love summer...it is already going by too fast!!

Happy Birthday/Anniversary/Father's Day Scotty!!

This is Scott's big week. He turned 32 on Sunday, we will celebrate 9 years being married on Thursday, and Father's Day in Sunday. We usaully have a big celebration, but because I was out of town at a funeral yesterday, this year is much calmer. We will have friends over tonight to have cake. Scott had planned a suprise for me on Friday, but the funeral ruined it. We were going to get to go on a ride along with Dallas police men. We could not go in the same car, but were both getting to go. Now most of you would think, what a crazy anniversary present, however I think it is awesome. Scott and I are crazy and love to watch cops. It is so cool, so that was such a sweet gesture and I am so bummed I did not get to go. Scott is so precious to me. He is the best husband and dad. I am so blessed to have him to do life with. So happy birthday/anniversary/father's Day Hotty Scotty. I love you more than you could ever know. Thank you for being great!!

Football Camp and Swim Lessons

So today was a big day of summer. Luke started football camp and Jake started swim lessons. Luke was so excited. He was worried he woke up late, that would be 7 and was not going to be there on time. Not to worry, we arrived in plenty of time. We left football camp to head to Jake's swim lessons. He started with Ms. Kelly, who by the way is the best swim teacher ever. Luke went when he was 3 and could swim accross the pool within a couple of days.

I could not believe he started a sentence with it is a situation. Hello are you 30?

Jake had a fun time at swim lessons. He is not scared at all. He is a mommy's boy, so he had to warm up to Ms. Kelly. After that he was all Jake. He was throwing everything across the pool, and he kept jumping off the step. The teachers would have another child and Jake would be under water. He is crazy!! He is very fun, but has no fear. He even went under the water to get a ring that was on the bottom step.

We are starting the summer off busy and fun!!

Pre-K Graduation

I cannot believe it, Luke graduated from Pre-K last night. I am so proud of him. He is the sweetest guy ever. I do have to admit I am anxious about him going to kindergarten, but I know he will be okay. I guess it is just because we keep them under our wing and now we have to let them go. He told me the other day he did not want to graduate because he would not see me all the time. I assurred him I would take him and pick him up, have lunch some time, and volunteer at his school. His response was "You won't be able to come and give me a hug during the day like you do at Mother's Day Out."

He was so cute at graduation. He walked in with one of his good friends that was in his class since he was 2, except this year. Luke had all the same friends until this year. We decided to only send him 2 days, so he moved classes from the kids he had been with the previous 3 years. They did a whole program. Each child had a speaking part. It was very sweet.

I am very proud of my precious Luke. He truly is a gift from God.

Prosperity Place Fun Run

This weekend was a blast. We all participated in a fundraiser for our niece Livia's school...Prosperity Place. It is a school where special need's kids recieve therapy. It is a school where all things are possible. Doctors said Livi would never walk and she runs now. It is an amazing school. My sister-in-law is the founder of the school. So the school had the first ever fun run and town fair. It was so fun. I was in charge of the drinks and desserts, so we worked on labeling water bottles and getting desserts in the weeks before. I also had a la-di-da booth, so I was pretty busy. The boys and Scott ran the fun run and Luke was so proud. We had been practicing for a few weeks, so he would not be sore. After that, there was a town fair. the boys dunked their cousins in the dunking booth, and they played games and ate everything in sight. It was so fun.

The rest of the weekend we spent in the pool at Scott's sisters. His parents had come in town, so we just hung out with his family. Jake seriously stayed in the pool for 3-4 hours each day. He did not want to get out. It was funny. Luke has become a great swimmer.

Today it is hot. I am not ready for these 100 degree days...yuck!!

Mom's and Muffins

Have I told you how much I love my boys? They are awesome. I was so excited to get to go to Moms and Muffins at school. It had to be a rushed time, so I could get to both classes and back to my baby room to take pictures, but it was so fun. Luke had made a calendar for his kindergarten year. Each page had his handprints somewhere on it. Jake gave me a flower and a keychain with his picture. He did not want to give the keychain up, so we put it on his backpack. On Mother's Day I just wanted to spend time with the boys. I have been so busy with la-di-da, I have not been able to play with my boys. So after church we went to McDonalds, yes Mother's Day is the slowest day at McDonald's all year. They boys played. We then came home and Luke and I went on a mile walk. He is "training" for the fun run he is doing this week. We played and then went to eat with my mom and grandmother for Mother's Day. I am so blessed to have such wonderful boys. They are such a perfect gift. Oh, yea not to leave Scott out. He made me a wonderful breakfast in bed before church. What a great guy he is.

On Saturday we went to two swim parties. we went

to the new Frisco aquatic center for a party. That place is awesome. The boys had so much fun. Then that night went to our neighbors bday party and swam outside. The boys stayed in the water for probably 3 hours. It was so fun and relazing.

La-Di-Da has kicked off

So where have I been? In a whirlwind. As some of you know, my friend Lori and I have started a new business. We are making kids clothes. It is very fun, but we have been very busy. I am definitely not complaining, I am just not sure where I have been. We have had 2 parties that have been great successes and many orders pouring in. We are so greatful. I will attach some of my favorite pics, so if you ever need a baby gift or just some cute clothes, let me know.

On to my precious boys. We have two very exciting things to talk about. Luke registered for kindergarten. He is very excited. I am kind of sad, but I know that he is ready. He is finishing baseball and soccer for the season and we are getting ready for summer. Now to Mr. Jake...he is officially potty trained!! Hooray. I was going to wait until the summer, but Jake has a mind of his own. I did not fight it and he is doing great. I figured he would be 5 before we potty trained. He is a ball of energy. Yesterday we went to lunch after church, there were over 20 of us, so the older kids sat at a different table. He sat with the older kids. I look down at the table and he is standing up, grabbing the ketchup bottle and starts to squeeze. All the kids are laughing out of control. I thought he squeezed the ketchup onto a plate. Oh no, he squeezed it into a kid's hand. What do you do , but laugh. I don't know. He is a little mess, but one that I love so much.

Happy Easter

I hope you all had a great Easter. We had a really fun weekend. We actually started by dying eggs on Wednesday. Saturday we went to an egg hunt for Prestonwood North. Luke had fun doing sack races, egg races, and bouncing on the bounce house. Jake played games also, but had more fun cracking the eggs with his feet and sneaking the candy before the egg hunt. Sunday morning we gave the boys their Easter baskets, from us not the Easter Bunny, and went to church. We went to lunch at Don and Tricia's and had an egg hunt there. Then we stopped by to say hello to Scott's Papa Leflar. On we went to my aunt Debbie's house for dinner and yet another egg hunt. The funny thing about all of it is Jake would find the first egg, stomp on it, eat the candy and be finished. He loves his candy. Church was awesome and I am so thankful we are able to celebrate Easter and that Jesus rose again.

The start of spring break

What a great start to Spring Break..for Luke that is. We had never taken the boys to Rainforest Cafe and we had a gift card, so we thought what a fun idea. Jake hated it, if you can't tell. He spent the first half of our trip hanging as far over our shoulders as possible. He hated the gorilla that they sat us right under. Every time it went off he would freak out. Luke had so much fun. They did both enjoy the firecracker dessert. Seriously though $13 for a brownie and ice cream. My brownies taste much better than theirs, oh but I did eat it though. Have a good Spring Break.

Palm Sunday

Yesterday at our new church, Prestonwood North, we celebrated Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday was when Jesus rode into the city and people put there coats on the ground and praised him singing Hosannah. Well in church we were singing Hosannah, while this video played scenes of what it might have been like. All of the sudden I see palm branches waving down the middle isle. It was children and teachers waiving palm branches and singing. I don't know if the kids really new the exact words, but it did not matter. The thought of these innocent children praising Jesus and singing hosanna brought tears to my eyes. That is what it was like. No matter what, people just wanted to praise Jesus. Then as the song ends and the children are leaving I see that my precious Luke is one of the kids. All day yesterday he was waving his palm branch and singing Hosannah. He loves Jesus and that makes me so happy. We are really trying to stress what Easter means and this was a great way to start the week of Easter. It snowing in Prosper

So what a week it has been. Monday, the snow came hard in Prosper. Tuesday the snow melted in Prosper. Wednesday, it was 70 degrees in Prosper, Thursday it snowed and snowed and snowed in Prosper. I have never seen snow flakes that big. The boys had so much fun. It took Scott 2 hours to come home, so the boys were more than ready to go play. Jake just wanted to eat the chocolate chips we were using for the mouth. Yes, I know we were stretching for things to make a snowman. Who new we would get snow ever that much in Prosper.

Hodge Podge

Hey guys,

I have not posted in forever. The new year has come and gone. I really made no resolutions, but Scott and I did start Weight Watchers and have stuck to it pretty well, except for the weekend. We save our extra points and our cheat day for the weekend. We have a small party over here for new years, everyone was gone before 11, how old are we. We played 1980's Trivial Pursuit. It was so much fun...

I am not even sure what all we have been doing this month. I am working on starting a new business with one of my friends. We are making girl clothes. They are turning out so cute. I don't think my boys would look cute in them, so I guess we will have to dress our friend's kids.

Jake has made the transition to his big boy room. He is getting better, but the first week was kind of crazy. The first day of nap he pulled his dresser on top of him and was pinned. Crazy boy!! He was trying to get the stuffed deer head hanging on his wall above his dresser. If he could just sleep all night in the bed, we would be doing a little better. He goes to sleep fine, just comes to see me in the middle of the night. It was kind of sad taking all of the baby stuff down, but the room looks awesome. so if you need any baby stuff, all of mine if for sale.

This weekend was a fun weekend for Luke and Jake. Jake went to Granna and Papaw's for a sleepover on Friday night. Luke went to Friday Night Frenzie at the gym was some friends. That means Beth and Scott got to eat dinner with adults and no kids jumping over and under the table. Saturday Luke went to his good friend, future wife's, bday party at the bounce house. My parents had said they wanted to take the boys to the stock show in FT. Worth on Saturday, so I thought instead of having another grown up day, Scott and I should go to. It was fun, but it would have been more fun if we had not gone right in the middle of Jake's naptime. No nap for a almost 2 year old is not the best of times, but by the end, the little Cowboy decided to have fun. My parents had taken Luke a couple of years ago and bought him his first Cowboy hat, so they did the same for Jake. I do have to say I think I have the cutest little Cowboys around.

Can you believe Christmas is over....

I can't. I have been trying to put away all of the Christmas decorations and Jake keeps putting the Santas back out saying SEEEEEEEEENTA. What a fun Christmas we have had!! We started off by going to the boys Christmas program at school on Thursday night. Yes our little Jake, not 2 yet was a part of the program. His class sang 3 songs before the play started. He started out with Jingle Bells and he shook the bells. The next song was about Mary and baby Jesus, he stood there and picked his nose the entire song. The last song was jump and hop, which is really funny to watch because he tries to jump so hard. Then came our big guy Luke. The pre-k class gets all the big parts. Luke was a shepherd. He sung his heart out. I cannot believe he is in Pre-K and had tears in my eyes thinking next year he will be in kindergarten.

We have had 3 Christmas' since then. The boys have had so much fun, but are wiped out. One fun neat thing we also did this year was special in Prosper. FBC Prosper had Christmas Eve at the barn. The kids cooked smores, decorated cookies, saw animals. It was really fun and relaxing. Once again, I love Prosper.

Have I told you how much I love Christmas. This year is awesome. We are having so much fun. Two of my favorite traditions we have started are baking goodies for our neighbors and going on a sleigh/hayride to look at lights. We started the cooking tradition 3 or 4 years ago. I love it. My parents come over and we bake all day. We make cookies, candy, and treats for about 30 families. It is so much fun. Last year we started the tradition to go look at lights on a sleigh ride. We had more go with us this year, so we did a hay ride instead. It was so much fun. Have a very Merry Christmas.

So my busy little Jake decided this morning he wanted to wear lipstick. Of course he decided to wear my MAC long lasting lip whatever that does not come off. Seriously, it is like paint. We tried everything before church to get it off. I would not even kind of come off. So Jake and I did not attend church. About 5 this evening it started to wear off. So if you need a good lipstick. Try the MAC extended whatever lip gloss.

I love Prosper. Last night we went to a Prosper Country Christmas. There was a mini parade, vendors, singing, and shopping. The boys have so much fun. It has gotten bigger every year. This year we did not know most of the people there, which is totally opposite from when we started growing. I wish Prosper would stay little.

I also wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This is the best time of year. Jake gasps at every Santa, light, snowman, or anything Christmas. The other day someone told Luke Happy Holidays. He looked at me and said "she said the wrong thing..she is supposed to say Merry Christmas." That made my day. He loves playing with nativity scenes. I am very blessed to have my boys.

Go Tigers

Luke had his first soccer game ever Saturday. We thought by watching practice he was not being aggressive enough. I told him to be mean, Scott said aggressive. So I bribed him with a toy. We told him if he made a goal, he could pick out a toy. Well to our suprise he made 5 goals. That's right 5 goals. We were so excited. He picked out the most annoying toy ever, a Transformers mask that changes his voice. Please help me have patience. So until next week... Go Tigers.

My Baby is in Pre-K!

So Tuesday was our first day of MDO. Luke started Pre-K and Jake is in the young two's. He is only 18 months, but he was way older than the younger class and so they moved him up. Seeng him be a big kid is crazy, but it is good for him and he has great teachers. Now Luke going to Pre-K that is a different story. I am so glad he has an October birthday and missed kindergarten this year. I am going to have a major melt down next year. He is doing great and loves his new class.

Texas Tech Football is Here

Well the count down has been coming and I am officially a football widow. All 3 of the boys are fans. Jake can put his guns up and they learned to say GO TECH, while breaking the huddle. We listen to fight songs in the car and watch every football game possible. Luke even wants to watch highlights. What am I to do. Anyways, I was trying to get a good pic of Jake with his GUNS up, but my camera was too slow. Happy Football Season and GO TECH!!

Our friends the Pattersons came to town last week. We were so excited to see them, it has been almost a year. They used to live in our neighborhood and moved to the Houston area a couple of years ago. We miss them. Andrew and Luke are a couple months apart. Then comes Jack, Jake, and Emma. The boys had so much fun.

Soccer Practice

Luke had his first soccer practice last week. He loves it he really takes it quite seriously. Here are a few of his comments.. If I get tired, I will tell my coach I need a drink. I will go into the tunnel, get a drink and run back out. He thinks he is going to play professional sports and the players run out of tunnels.

At breakfast the day before practice, this was our conversation...

Luke: Is tomorrow my first practice

Beth: yes

Luke: I am so excited, are you going to watch me?

Beth: of course

Luke: I am only nervous about one part of soccer.

Beth: What part is that?

Luke: The winning part.

He wants to win at practice as well as his games. I don't even know how he know what nervous means. He is so funny!!

National Night Out

Tuesday night, we had a National Night Out party last minute. A few of us girls had a girl's night last week and decided to do a party on our street. It was a lot of fun. Jake loved McGruff and we all know what Luke thinks about the fireman. He is determined to be one when he grows up. We are so blessed to have such wonderful neighbors and friends.

Tricia's Baby Shower

We are all awaiting the arrival of Baby Katy. We had a fun baby shower for Tricia last Thursday night. Friday night I stayed up all night watching guard over the big garage sale that happened on Saturday to raise money for my 3 day walk. We had so much fun hanging out all night, even though I ended up with 40+ mosquito bites just on my legs. We raised almost 5K to go towards our walk. There are 12 of us walking this year. we have to raise 2200 each to even participate. I was pretty tired after the gsale, so we did not do anything Saturday night. Sunday night we went to a couple's shower for baby Katy. We can't wait to meet baby Katy, only 3 weeks left!!

The Roughriders

Not too much has been going on around here. Luke and Jake are having a good summer. Luke went to VBS at my parents church this week at night time. Thursday night was Hawaiin Falls night. We were there for 1 hour before a major storm came and we had to leave. Saturday we took Jake to his first sporting even, the Roughriders game. It was fun, but he wanted to walk around everywhere. The boys are playing so good together lately. What fun two boys are!!

The restrictions have been lifted!!

After a year of the drought, our water restrictions have finally been lifted. For Luke, that means slip and slide!! Poor kid, we bought a slip and slide last year and he was able to play with it once before we had water restrictions. I mean, we come in the middle of the night and turn off water. Our neighbor watered when he was supposed to and they water people came and turned his water off at 4 in th morning because there was too much water on the sidewalk. Our was turned of for some rule we broke, I cannot even remember. The great thing about ours was they never told us so I grass was so dead until we realized the water outside, including the sprinkler system, had been off for over 3 weeks. So Luke was able to slip and slide this weekend. We also took Luke to Six Flags Sunday. How fun!! He rode all the big rides and was not scared at all. He only rode 2 rides in Looney Toon land at the very end. Jake went to my parents for the first time and had so much fun. He loved playing with the dogs. We are so excited he had a good time with Granna and Papaw. Jake never gets to go with them by himself.

Luke is Home!!

After 11 days in Colorado, Luke has come home. He had an awesome time with Scott's parents and the older 2 cousins. Here is a list of the things I know he did...

1. Children's Museum

2. Had breakfast and dinner at the fire station ( Scott's dad is a volunteer fireman)

3. Rode on top of the firetruck and had a watergun fight in a parade.

4. Went to the Aquarium

5. Went to a Medeival festival

6. Went to a dinosaur museum

7. Went to the butterfly pavilion

8. Went to the movies

9. Went bowling

10. Went to the amusement park

11. Went fishing alot

12. and last but not least, He had his first taste of Mountain Dew ( he said "it just tastes like sprite, Mom.")

Anyways he had a very busy week and is extremely tired. He was so excited to see Jake. He would not let go of him. We are glad he is back, but we are so happy he had such a good time. Thanks to Gammy and Grandaddy.

Happy 4th of July

What a crazy week it has been. Last weekend we were pretty busy again. On Friday, Scott's dad flew in from Colorado. On Saturday we went to a cookout at our college friends house. On Sunday, we drove to Munday (31/2hours away) and back to go to Scott's grandmothers bday party. We came home to my brother and his family at our house from Tulsa. Luke left to go to Colorado on Monday for 10 days. We miss him so much and we have 6 days left. So we thought we would have quality time with Jake, wrong!! He decided to get hand, foot, and mouth. So he is in a great mood. Did I mention my brother and his wife have a 3 month old that stayed at our house? Well, it was a fun week. I have attached more pictures of Jake than Luke, because he is here. Look at how big Jake looks compared to the baby. He is big, and she is tiny, only 10 pounds, but he looks like a big kid. Also note, he loved to sit in her bumbo, last year, when he was her age he could not fit in a bumbo, his legs were too fat. Hope you have a good rest of the week. Oh yes, I forgot, Scott taught Luke how to spit sunflower seeds. That is what they are doing in the back of the truck. They had to sit in the back of the truck to do it. It was pretty funny to watch.

A Very Busy Week

So this week we had Bible School. I taught Kindergarten and that is a great age. The crazy thing is, the kids we had this week I kept in the nursery when they were born. We had the greatest class this year. Jake was not quite so excited about going to bible school. The picture is before we even left the house.

Monday night we went to the Drake's for dinner for Don's birthday. They have the best back yard for a slip and slide. Luke loves to slip and slide. I remember loving it when I was a kid. Now I think it looks like I would bruise every part of my body. Anyways happy birthday Don.

Wednesday night Luke and Reece had a sleepover. This was Reece's first official sleepover. He has stayed at our house before, but did not know to be excited. They were so cute and so excited. Here is a picture of Luke reading the Bible to Reece. They are such great friends.

Last night we had family night for VBS. The kids sang, the FC Dallas mascot came, and we had ice cream. It was a lot of fun. Jake wanted the mascot to be in his eyes view at all times. He did not want to get close, but would get mad when he would walk off. I have to brag on the kids at our church. We had about 250 attend VBS this week. Our mission project was to raise money for kids who need school clothes. They raised $1600.00. The will help 16 kids have clothes. When they announced the number today, I had tears in my eyes. These kids were so excited about helping others. That is part of what they learned in VBS. What a great experience this year.

The Future Anderson Family

We had a great weekend this weekend. We went with friends to Gattitown, had friends over for dinner, and went over to a friend's house for dinner. We had jersey day at church today to kick off Bible School. Of course we have countless jerseys at our house except for mom. Luckily Luke had one I could borrow.

Tonight we went to our future in-laws for dinner, the Edwards. They have two girls, both close to the boys age. They get along great. Landry and Luke will let us get much better pictures than Korley and Jake. We had fun swimming letting Jake be white trash in his diaper and eventually naked.

So I finally decided to try it. I look at so many of my friends blogs and think I can't even figure out how to do that. So I am going to try. You know I love sending picture of my boys.!! So we have been having a fun summer. This past weekend we went to the sandy beach in Graham. You would have thought we were in Hawaii if you asked the boys. They had so much fun.

Last weekend we celebrated Scott's birthday with an Army party. Luke decided 6 months ago and remembered that he wanted to have an army party for Scott and eat pizza, so that is what we did. Then on Sunday we went to Arbuckle Wilderness and had so much fun. Seriously, the camel was in the car with us.

So obviousley I cannot figure out how to post pictures in different place, so any suggestions, let me know. Hopefully I was able to blog enough for someone to see my blog.
